Il fera face, en cadence classique (90'+30' +30''), à Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Alexander Grischuk, Wesley So, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Teimour Radjabov, et les deux régionaux de l'étape, Constantin Lupulescu et Bogdan Deac.
