Carlsen survole le grenke Freestyle Open
24/04/2025 – Magnus Carlsen a signé un coup d'éclat lors de l'Open d'échecs Freestyle du GRENKE 2025, disputé à Karlsruhe (Allemagne) du 17 au 21 avril. Le Norvégien a survolé la compétition avec un sans-faute impressionnant (9/9) en cadence classique (90'+30''). Derrière lui, sept joueurs se sont livrés une bataille serrée, terminant à déjà 2 points du leader: Leinier Dominguez, Fabiano Caruana, Andrey Esipenko, Alexey Sarana, Parham Maghsoodloo, Arjun Erigaisi et Frederik Svane. Déjà qualifié pour la prochaine étape du Freestyle Chess Grand Slam (New York, 17-24 juillet), Carlsen laisse les sept prétendants se disputer la place qualificative lors d'un tournoi dont les modalités restent à préciser. | Photo: Dariusz Gorzinski.
