29/05/2020 – Le Saint Louis Chess Club a invité les quatre meilleurs joueurs américains à un tournoi en ligne doté de $100'000. Sur une idée de Maurice Ashley, les matches sont constitués de 12 parties à la cadence 10'+5'', réparties sur deux jours. Les victoires des dernières parties de la journée sont majorés: rondes 5 et 6 = 2 points + $2'000 pour chaque victoire; rondes 11 et 12 = 3 points + $3'000 pour chaque victoire. Ce tournoi est un test. S'il est concluant, un événement de plus grande dimension sera organisé dans ce même format du 06 au 14 juin. Les six premières rondes de la finale sont à suivre ce soir à partir de 22h.
